Google's Messages app gets reactions and a photograph editor

Google's Messages app just became more compelling if you do greater than send simple texts — particularly if you operate RCS.The information superhighway giant has introduced a slew of upgrades to Android's stock messaging app, adding reactions for RCS conversations. Much like Facebook Messenger or Apple's iMessage, you only have to long press on a message to laugh at a good joke or love a photograph. You'll also find recommended stickers for RCS chats to help explicit your joy or unhappiness.

You'll also find a media editor built into Messages. It's a basic tool that lets you draw or add text, but that may be enough if you are looking to highlight something important or add a dash of humor.Other additions focus on quicker ways to get in contact. There's a video call button in the higher-right corner to effortlessly turn a text dialog into a Duo chat, and there is a committed voice message button to brighten a persons' day.You can try a majority of these new points during the latest edition of Messages, although sticker assistance are presently limited to English. These additions won't necessarily get you to drop Facebook Messenger or other options, but they may provide you with a reason to keep using Google's app if you were in another way tempted to go chats to a service with more lively interactions.Just remember that RCS isn't currently encrypted, so it might not be the best for particularly sensitive discussions.
